School Christmas Program

Ty had a Christmas program at his school before school let out for the holidays. His class was the evergreens in the program. He had a speaking part and the class sang a couple songs. He did a great job.

Frosty the Snowman

With all the snow that fell, we decided that we needed to build a snowman in the back yard. As soon as Ty got home from school we went to work. Ty is armed with a snowman building kit.

Shadow loves the snow, it's funny to see him go out in new snow, he bounds around paving trails through the yard.

McKinlee kept licking the snowman, I couldn't get her to stop eating the snow.

He turned out pretty cute.

Winter Dance Recital

McKinlee has been taking dancing since September and had they had a winter recital at the elementary school. She was so excited to get to wear makeup for her program.

They did two dances and they were so cute, McKinlee did a great job. I was so glad that she didn't get nervous in front of all the people watching that night.

Family Party

We did something different for our family party this year. As a family, we all went bowling, to lunch and then we rode trax to Salt Lake to see the lights and also went to the Gateway. It was really fun to bowl with the whole family.
Ty did really good.
McKinlee loved the ramp, she was able to bowl by herself.

The lights were pretty at Temple Square, but there were a lot of people there that night. We had fun in the city. We also went to the Grand America to see the candy windows. They also had some neat gingerbread houses and hotels on display.

Family Christmas Party

My kids got to see Santa and Mrs. Claus again at our family party. They patiently waited for their turn to get to sit on his lap and receive their present. Luckily, McKinlee's present was at the bottom of the bag and she had a chance to warm up to him before he called her name. She didn't even hesitate, just climbed up in his lap this time. Apparently, both Ty and McKinlee's feet were hot so they both had their shoes off in their Santa picture. Ty had no socks either. They are funny, they don't like being hot.

Happy Holidays

Here Comes Santa Claus

Santa came to town last Friday. We went to the dance hall and visited him. Ty sitting with Santa.
McKinlee wouldn't sit on his lap, so I got Ty to stand in between her and Santa.
She warmed up to him quite a bit by the time we were done. She even gave him a high five when she was done.

Decorating the Tree

Ty and McKinlee were such great helpers decorating the tree this year. They spread the ornaments out really well. Our tree turned out so pretty this year. We had to put any chewable ornaments out of Shadow's reach, he still likes to take them off the tree.

Thanksgiving 2010

We did some fun things during November. McKinlee had a Thanksgiving Feast at preschool and got to dress up as a pilgrim or an indian. She wanted to be an indian, so my mom made her this indian dress. It turned out really cute and she loves it.

Ty had a readers theater at his school, he had one of the main parts to read. He was John, the pilgrim. He did a great job.

We made turkeys for the table decorations, the kids thought this was fun.

Ty went around and took everybody's pie orders after dinner.

The snow is always so much fun on the trampoline, especially when these two get together.



They were so cold and wet when they came in.

Halloween

Halloween was fun this year, Ty and McKinlee were so excited for trick-or-treating in their costumes. McKinlee got to have a party and dress up at preschool too. Jessie the Yodelin' Cowgirl
