1st grader

Ty started school this week. He was so excited to be in first grade and eat school lunch. It's different having him gone all day, it's so quiet at our house during the day. McKinlee gets pretty excited when it's time to pick him up.

Camping (Again)

We were able to go camping again for the week before school. We had a good time, it was a nice break before we had to get back to a schedule again. McKinlee took her Barbies.

Happy Birthday Ty!

Ty turned seven yesterday, it was a really fun day. He was so excited to open his presents in the morning. In the afternoon, he had a party with his friends. Then we went to dinner and a movie that evening.

We filled about 300 water balloons and they lasted about five minutes.

We finished the party with a pinata full of candy.Ty wanted Chinese for dinner. He got lots of birthday phones calls all day.
We went and seen Cats and Dogs: The Revenge of Kitty Galore. It was a cute show and we had the theater to ourselves. It was a great day. Happy 7th Birthday Ty!

Mountain Meadows Massacre

We were invited to Jessica's on the last Saturday in July for Jessie's baptism. While we were there, we decided that we would drive to the Mountain Meadows Massacre site. It's a really neat place. There are two monuments at the different sites. The Loomis' came with us since they didn't have any other plans that evening.

We saw several lizards and snakes along the way. Ty really wanted to catch one.

That night the kids swam at the hotel. (McKinlee loves crossing her eyes.)
and the next day they had fun playing in the park with Nicole and Megan.

All I Want for Christmas...

Ty lost both his front teeth (his bucky's)in July. He has such a cute smile without his teeth.

More Camping

We went camping over the 24th again. It was nice to get out of the heat for a few days. My mom and Brenda and Melinda came up for a night and brought their dogs too. We had a full camp!

Swimming Lessons

We had two weeks of swimming lessons in July to fill part of our summer. Ty really liked lessons, McKinlee cried for the first two days, but she liked them after that.

Ty's favorite was the diving board. He would go off of it everyday at the end of class.

McKinlee really liked her teacher, she loved her fluorescent orange nail polish. Even McKinlee went off the diving board a few times.

Ty loved the slide too.
