A Short Story

It starts with these, and a three year old who loves to use them to cut everything.

Including her own hair.

She put the hair in her music box for safe keeping.

It became McKinlee's first salon trip.

All even again, and it turned out so cute. She looks so grown up now.

Easter

We had a fun Easter. We started out hunting eggs in the park. It was snowing lightly and the grass was completely soaked. We had to change our shoes and socks after this one.

They hunt for real eggs and the kids get to trade them in for money.

Next, was the family Easter hunt. This one was a lot drier, but it still was cool.

McKinlee was more interested in picking dandelions than finding eggs.

Ty filled his bucket really fast.

On to Easter morning.

The Easter Bunny brought them a bucket full of fun.

It was a nice Easter.

Remember These?

We used to make these baskets when we were kids and I thought it would be a fun project to make for Easter this year. We started with the balloons.

Then covered them with string.

Dipped them in sugar water.

And hung to dry...Then we waited a few days.

And we turned them into Easter baskets.

Ty's favorite part was popping the balloon inside.

They turned out cute and the made a great Easter decoration.

Kite Flying

Ty got a really cool kite this year, we spent a windy afternoon at the school grounds flying it. Ty loved it and got the hang of it pretty quick. He and McKinlee trying to chase it.

McKinlee got tired of it and soon found the swings.

Spring Break

We went to Torrey for spring break the first part of April. We had a fun time. Ty and McKinlee had fun playing on the rocks and climbing on them.

Taking a break on their little hike.

Ty chased a lot of lizards, he really thought we needed to bring one home.

We had lunch at the park in Fruita.

They've put a fence around the tree we always took pictures on.

The orchards were blooming.
