4th of July

The 4th of July was spent with our family. We had a nice lunch at Grandma & Grandpa's house. After lunch, the kids played in the pool in the backyard. They had lots of fun. Later that evening, we did some fireworks with my mom, dad, Brenda & Melinda. It was a fun filled day.

Easter Showers

The Easter Bunny hid some eggs for Ty & McKinlee in the house this year. The yard was still too wet and muddy to be outside. They had fun finding their eggs anyway.

Here's Ty with some eggs he found.

McKinlee was guarding the baskets from Shadow.

This year's Easter picnic and egg hunt had to be moved inside because of the rain. The party was at Darren's brother Todd's house on Saturday. We ate hot dogs and the kids hunted eggs in the basement after lunch. We had a great time.

McKinlee & Ty were so excited to start hunting eggs, Grandma had to hold them back until the eggs were hidden.

This was my attempt at getting a picture of all the kids together.
I think this picture is so cute. Cortlynn, Braiden, McKinlee & Ty were just fascinated with Aunt Janet's plug-in fish tank. She moved it down to the floor so that they could all enjoy.
Braiden is showing McKinlee his brother Gavin. He is so cute.

Happy St. Patrick's Day

We made shamrock cupcakes for St. Patricks Day. I saw this idea on the Family Fun website and thought it looked easy enough for us not to mess up. We rolled up balls of aluminum foil and put them on the sides of the cupcake papers to make the shamrock. And of course, we had to color the cake mix and the frosting green. It was fun celebrating our Irish Heritage.

The frosting is always their favorite part.

McKinlee ate more cupcakes than she sprinkled.

Ty loves to decorate the cupcakes. He is wearing his "camo hair" in this picture. He has been on a kick lately and has been wearing pajama pants on his head as hair. He has some purple pants of McKinlee's that are his gypsy hair. He has quite the imagination.
