1st day of Preschool

Yesterday was McKinlee's 1st day of preschool. She has been so excited for it to start. It seems weird that she is old enough to go to preschool already.
On her way into class.

When we got there she got some pink play dough from Teacher Cassie and she didn't even cry when I left.

Turkey Day Fun

Ty had another fun kids day at Kindergarten. They made pilgrim and indian costumes and had a feast on the placemats they made. Ty's table made indian vests and headbands. He did a great job decorating his vest.
This is his class at their feast.

At our house, we made Turkeys out of handprints and footprints. We traced their hands for the feathers and their feet for the turkey's body.

Our two cute turkeys!

Ty got to dress up like a pilgrim or an indian for school today, he wore dad's indian costume that he made when he was a kid, it's really cute on him.

Ty always seems to close his eyes for the picture, these are him trying to keep his eyes open. He looks pretty funny!

Trick-or-Treat

Ty's Giraffe spots.
McKinlee got a hold of the eye pencil while we were putting
Ty's giraffe spots on and painted her own kitty whiskers on.
The giraffe
The white kitty
McKinlee wasn't too thrilled about me putting the whiskers on her, so she got touched up while she was napping later in the day.

Halloween was so fun this year, I was surprised at how well McKinlee kept up trick-or-treating. She had so much fun following Ty this year. They looked so good in their costumes that my mom made.

Halloween Carnival

The school had a carnival in the afternoon on Halloween. They had inflatable slides and games for the kids to play and served lunch in the cafeteria. Finishing their "school lunch".

Cake walk
Ty won a cake on the cake walk, of course he had to
choose the one with the "yummy looking" purple frosting.
Playing on the slides. They took off their costumes for the slides.

This is what he chose as a prize on one of the games. Nice teeth!

Playing in the Snow

I woke Ty up for school and told him to look outside because it had snowed and her told me "Mom, it's Christmas!". It was funny, it had snowed a few inches and he wanted to go out and play in it. I told him after school. When he got home, most of it had melted, but he and McKinlee still had fun sliding in the lawn in the snow.

Cornbelly's

We made it to Cornbelly's again this year, it was really fun last year, so we decided to go again. Ty and McKinlee had a fun time with all the activities.

Riding the cow train.

The slides were their favorite. Ty would go down three or four times to McKinlee's one. She was kind of slow getting back up to the top. They could have done that all day.

McKinlee was so brave, she tried everything Ty did.

Halloween Cookies

Tasting their creations.

My kids just love to make and decorate sugar cookies. They love to pile on the decorations and make them so pretty. It is becoming a tradition to make them at the holidays at our house. They turned out great this year.

Halloween Party

We went to a Halloween party the with some of Ty's friends this year. It was fun for the kids and they had so much fun being able to try out their costumes before Halloween. There was yummy food.

Pumpkin painting...not so good for white kitty's, so McKinlee's costume came off early.

Lots of fun games.

and even more cute costumes.

Making Costumes

Ty trying on the patten.

One of the fittings.
They are almost done. My mom sewed costumes for my kids this year for Halloween. Ty had his mind set on being a giraffe this year and I could not find a costume that would fit him. They make giraffes for infants or mascots. So, I found an animal pattern and my mom turned it into a giraffe. McKinlee wanted to be a white kitty, so the pattern worked for her too. They were so excited to get the fabric and have Hot Hot make them. I think they turned out so cute, Ty and McKinlee just love them. My mom did such a great job. Thanks again!
